The 8th Annual Tour de H2O — June 10, 2017

June 10, 2017 at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park

Ride headquarters will be at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park on the southwest side of Columbus (and convenient to Cincinnati and Dayton).

Walkers/Runners:  Officially we have 5 and 10 mile routes, but you can in fact walk/run any distance you would like.  It is a packed gravel path within the Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park and will include a good view of the resident buffalo.

Cyclists:  There are 5 bicycling distances, ranging from 10 to 60 miles.  All bicycle routes will be on a combination of bike path and low-traffic country roads and will be supported by drink stops and a SAG vehicle.  The 10 mile route is on a compact dirt path within the park and can be safely completed by children.  Since there are inherent dangers to riding bicycles on open roads, we require riders of the longer routes to be 18 years or older, unless discussed with event organizers prior to the ride.

Registration: 7:30 am – 10:00 am.
52 and 60 mile riders: group start at 8:00 am.
25 and 33 mile riders: group start at 9:30 am.
10 mile riders, walkers and runners: group start at 10:00 am.

A fantastic and authentic African lunch will be served at the shelter after you complete your ride/walk/run.
You will want to enter the park at the Cedar Ridge Entrance (overview map) and park in the lot on your right, soon after you enter.

"It was one of the best rides for a cause we've been on. The routes were WELL marked, the T-shirts SUPER, and the Jerseys were 2nd to none! The food was GREAT---and everyone looked after one another. We met some neat riders!" - Rex Klus, rider

Special thanks to David Ike and Shari Heinrich for our event photos.
